The Breathe Deep Pompano Beach Lungevity Run will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2013!
Breathe Deep Pompano Beach is a 5k timed run and untimed walk to raise funds for lifesaving lung cancer research. The 3.1-mile course is both stroller and wheelchair friendly. Awards will be given to the top 3 individual fundraisers, top 3 fundraising teams, largest team, and more!
Our Story:
In 2006, Frank Wannop's wife, Lori, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Five years later, after complicated side effects and treatments, Lori mentioned to Frank that she wished they could do more to help find a cure for lung cancer. After some research, they organized Breathe Deep Pompano Beach in the hope of bringing better treatment and a cure for lung cancer to those affected by the disease.
